Welcome to the official web site of the Tuggeranong Ukulele Group (Inc)
(TUGs for short).
TUGs is a family friendly club that meets to play, sing, socialise and have fun at our uke sessions, group events and performances throughout the Canberra region. Uniquely, we play in a Stage Band setting, with our ukuleles being complemented with Bass Guitar, mixed Percussion and Harmonica and Tin Whistle.
We play many genres of music, ranging from 50’s and 60’s Rock and Roll through to Pop and Blues. We hope all TUGs members will contribute to the enjoyment of all, and will be able to join in our activities as their time permits. We play, sing and enjoy ourselves.
Becoming a member of TUGs is easy. Interested persons should attend one of our regular sessions which are held at the Rainbow Room at the Canberra Southern Cross Club, Corinna Street, Woden. See our ‘Events’ page for details of our 2019 session dates.
Then, all you need to do is see our friendly Doorperson to join TUGS and to then start receiving our regular Ukulelemails in which all club news including upcoming performance gigs and playlists, songs for rehearsals, and social events etc. are advised.
We have a new set of 6 Beginner Classes commencing 7 July at a cost of $80.
